Sean Bowen Hits Purple Patch with Four-Timer Across Consecutive Cards

Sean Bowen underlined his status as one of jump racing's most reliable pilots this week, steering home four winners across back-to-back days in a clinical display of race-riding that will have done his championship aspirations no harm whatsoever.

The Pembrokeshire-based jockey, who has forged a formidable partnership with his father Peter's yard while maintaining a strong freelance book, began his hot streak with a double that showcased both his tactical nous and his ability to get horses home. The following day brought another brace, with Bowen demonstrating the consistency that has become his hallmark.

While the wins came at different tracks and across varying trip distances, what united them was Bowen's trademark patience and his uncanny ability to produce horses with perfectly-timed challenges. Whether making headway from off the pace or dictating from the front, the 31-year-old looked in complete command throughout, giving each mount the ride that suited its running style.

The four-timer continues what has been a productive campaign for Bowen, who remains one of the go-to jockeys for trainers seeking a safe pair of hands who can be trusted to execute instructions while showing initiative when race dynamics demand it.

01488 674148 Ed started training in October 2010 when he rented a small 24 box yard within St Gatien Stables in Newmarket. From there he sent out his first runner which was Riggins, a Listed winner on November 27th 2010. Since then Ed has grown the business gradually which has seen him relocate no less than four times. His nomadic existence finally came to an end in December 2016 when he and his team settled at Kingsdown Stables in Upper Lambourn. Visit Website
